Honorary Secretary informed that quorum was achieved and the meeting was called to order at 4.20 pm

The notice convening the meeting was taken as read.

| ADOPTION OF MINUTES: |
The minutes of the last AGM (2006) could not be adopted because the outgoing Chairman had not passed a copy of the minutes to the Vice Chairman. |
The meeting began with the opening address by the Honorary Vice Chairman followed by the Interim Secretary’s report and the Honorary Treasurer’s report.
By the advice of the committee, the Honorary Vice Chairman presented parts of the outgoing Chairman’s report which was deemed true and rejected the rest of the report.

COLLECTION OF SUBSCRIPTIONS
To questions raised by a few members and guest , as to why the Association did not strike off names of members who defaulted in paying their membership subscriptions, Mr Kris Lee briefed the floor that it has been a tradition of the Association and that practice was upheld until today. However, Mr. Siow suggested that the current practice be reviewed by the new committee. The floor agreed.

MIAMI GREEN RESIDENTS’ PARTY
Mr Hugo asked the floor if the Service Charge fund was used to fund the Miami Green Residents’ Party. Mr Gerhard the organizing Chairman for the party informed members that the RM 7,000 was a personal contribution by Mr Sunny Ho and that the Service Charge funds had remained untouched. The Association and members of the committee express their heartfelt thanks to Mr Sunny Ho for his generousity .
The Hon Treasurer’s report was accepted.

MATTERS ARISING
ELECTION OF OFFICE BEARERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The two year term of the previous committee has come to an end . As such it is the business of this AGM to elect new office bearers and committee members. The Interim Secretary then proceed to brief the floor on the election rules and requested all non paying members and guest to excuse themselves.

OTHER MATTERS
STRATA TITLE
To a question raised by the floor regarding the strata title, Mr Gerhard the Hon. Chairman informed members that the strata title is expected to be out soon . If and when 25% of Miami Green owners takes up the strata title, a new Management Corporation will be formed. The Chairman will update all members on this issue from time to time.

Members also requested that the WiFi facility and MG webpage be reinstated.
MAINTAINENCE OF COMMON FACILITIES
Members informed that the lobby area of Block D and car park area of Block C & D floods when it rains.
CLOSING ADDRESS BY CHAIRMAN
The newly elected Chairman in his closing address thank all members for their trust and support. We as a committee will try to act in the best interest of all members. We hope members will continue to give us their support.
The 5th Annual General Meeting was called to a close at 5.50 pm.
The Chairman will fix the date of the 1st committee meeting.
